Taking the perfect crime and building the drama needed to keep the readers engaged was easy, having already spent years dwelling on the plot and outcome.
My business career was tied to the insurance industry for 50 years. Forty-two of those years, I was a broker dealing with the evaluation and placement of insurance coverages for commercial clients. For relaxation, I have always been an avid reader of crime/spy fiction-type books. After many years of reading hundreds of books written by all the premier fiction authors, I developed a storyline for a book about what would be “The Perfect Crime.” It took my retirement from the insurance industry to allocate the time to write "Resolution:
The Perfect Crime." Planning the perfect crime and building the drama needed to keep the readers engaged was easy, having already spent years dwelling on the plot and outcome.
The challenge came with publishing my book and creating a website to engage the readers for their feedback. The “team” or cast of characters from my first book will reappear in a 2024 sequel. I am excited and have started writing the sequel, and I hope it continues entertaining everyone who has read "Resolution: The Perfect Crime." The website SpinSaleBooks.com stems from my hobby outside the insurance business. Spin is short for Spinnaker; Sailing has been my passion since buying a sailboat and learning to sail the Potomac River that flows past Washington, DC. After five years of pleasure sailing in the Chesapeake Bay, I was invited to crew in a sailing race out of Annapolis, MD. After years of learning to make a sailboat competitive in various wind conditions, I still compete in numerous sailing regattas yearly. When entering any sailboat race, there are two goals: 1) take first in your class, and 2) take first in fleet, where you beat every other boat on the water. Achieving both goals in a sailing regatta is very rare; over my 35+ years of racing, I have crewed on various sailboats that have accomplished taking "first in fleet" about a dozen times. Those moments where you know your crew performed better than all the boats entered on that day drive me to keep participating in a very challenging sport.
My daily focus will be to sign into my laptop and develop new crime scenarios that will twist and turn as the story unfolds. My goal is to bring hours of enjoyment to everyone reading my works
